OUR VISIONS AND VALUES

Our Vision

To be a community of people who wholeheartedly follow Jesus while leading others to do the same.

Our Values

We Worship:

Living a Life of Worship (Ephesians 5:18-20; Matthew 4:10; John 4:24)
True worship begins when a person places their faith in the person of Jesus Christ, believing in His death and resurrection as sufficient payment for their sin. True worship continues as a lifestyle of responding to God’s revelation of Himself – with mind, heart, and soul – and in ways that declare His greatness.
Growing constantly in our Faith (Ephesians 4:14-16; Philippians 3:14; Colossians 1:28)
Spiritual growth means that we progressively move toward spiritual maturity in Christ. A commitment to growth is often difficult because it requires change in our attitudes and habits. However, growth means we are living out the life of Christ and He is reproduced in our own lives

We Grow:

Connecting with other followers of Jesus (Ephesians 4:1-6; Hebrews 10:24-25)
Genuine biblical community means living in caring relationships that are guided by biblical truth and grounded in spiritual accountability. We value real community because we know that real and lasting change – spiritual transformation – only occurs in the unity and diversity of authentic relationships. We also recognize that in community, conflict is normal and reconciliation is intentional.
Committing to one another (Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Peter 4:10-11)
The genuine health of a church can be measured by the sacrifice of those who give their life in service for another. Jesus demonstrated that the most influential life is a life of sacrificial service. In the words of Mark’s gospel, Jesus “did not come to be served but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many.” We believe that every true follower of Jesus will participate in the body by sacrificially offering their spiritual gifts.

We Serve:

Sharing God’s Love locally (John 3:16; Proverbs 11:25; Matthew 10:8b)
We believe that Cornerstone Community Church will influence the world for Christ, when resting in, and motivated by His great love for us. We extend that love through using our spiritual gifts in acts of service to others outside of God’s family. Every act of God is an act of lavish generosity. Generosity means living life with our hands open, generously giving away the truth, time, talent, and treasure that God has so graciously entrusted to us.
Sending God’s Love globally (Luke 5:31, Isaiah 55:5, Matthew 28:18-20)
We recognize that some are chosen to serve others who are distanced from us. It is our honor to support those by prayer and sacrificial financial support.

We Multiply:

Staying surrendered to Christ daily. (Matthew 16:24, Matthew 4:19) We believe that God has designed us for a fulfilling life if we will stay yielded to him.
Staying “on purpose” through Christ’s power and life. (John 15:5, Psalm 127:1) We are ambassadors for Christ, on mission to spread the gospel to our families, our neighbors, and others that we may meet around the world.  We make Him known locally and globally as God multiplies His Church.
